Two series. Behind the Lyrics is the story that started the song. Behind the Production is everything that happened after — the versions, the wrong turns, the decisions. Neither one is dry.

Coming soon · The shop
Lyrics from the catalog, printed for the kitchen wall, the mug in your hand, the corner of the house that's finally yours again. Made and shipped from the States.
Visit the shopMidnight Cinder Ink is a husband-and-wife songwriting and production team built around original lyrics, stories, and ideas.
Kevin has been playing hard rock and heavy metal drums for decades, has played in several bands, and has live stage experience. Bridgette comes from the storytelling side as a fiction writer and self-published author.
Neither of us are singers, and we make no claim to being vocal stage performers. Our lane is writing, storytelling, creative direction, and production. We use Suno as a production tool to turn our original lyrics and concepts into fully realized songs.
At the heart of it, our goal is pretty simple: we want to put our music into the world. We love creating it, experimenting with different sounds, and hearing a story that started as words become a finished song.
We hope you enjoy listening to our productions as much as we enjoy making them.

Songs for the Second Chapter
Midnight Cinder Ink is a lyric-first songwriting catalog built around mature storytelling, unforgettable hooks, and the lives people are actually living. Explore selected songs available for artist, publisher, producer, and placement inquiries.
Country · Americana · Rock · Southern Country Rap · Adult Contemporary
We write about the parts of adulthood that often disappear from popular music: rediscovering creativity and passion after years spent raising a family, loving the same person across decades, starting over when the original plan changes, finding friendship and connection in unexpected places, carrying grief and loneliness without letting it become your whole identity, looking honestly at mistakes and regret, questioning the world around us, and occasionally forgetting all the serious stuff and simply having a damn good time.
Rooted in lived experience, the catalog moves through love (Forged Together, Finally Home), marriage and long partnership (All Mine, Honey Queen Bee), family (Pirate Princess, They Call Him Dad), friendship (Beth, Where Are You?, Sandy River Summers), grief (The Words We Never Spoke, Someday), regret (She Left), loneliness and disconnection (The Lonely Side, Can't Get Back), reinvention (Dangerous Again, The Map Was Wrong), new beginnings (We're Getting Hitched), resilience and finding your voice (Proving the Negative, Earning a Voice, I'm Not Done), desire and grown-up sexuality (Flirt With Me, That Blue Dress, The Art of Flirting), humor and refusing to behave (YouTube Jail), and social observation (Don't We Agree, Who We Are, Everybody Has a Heartache).
Romance, loneliness, funny, sensual, angry, political, nostalgic, hopeful, messy, or unapologetically fun. What connects them is story — lives that are still complicated, creative, sexy, ridiculous, painful, and worth writing about.

Mainstream music often centers youth, first love, first heartbreak, and becoming an adult. Midnight Cinder Ink lives farther down the road.
These songs explore what happens after you've already loved, lost, married, divorced, raised children, started over, made mistakes, buried people, rebuilt yourself, and discovered that desire, humor, heartbreak, and romance did not disappear when you turned forty.
That point of view is not a limitation. It is the catalog.
The recordings on this page are demonstration recordings created to communicate the lyric, structure, emotional direction, vocal approach, and potential production of each song. Midnight Cinder Ink is a lyric-first creative house.
Original lyrics and concepts are human-written. We use AI-assisted music production tools to set those lyrics to melody and instrumentation for the demo. A demo is not intended to dictate the final recording — artists and producers should be able to imagine taking the song in their own direction.
The demo shows you the room. What you build inside it is up to you.
If you're an artist, publisher, producer, manager, music supervisor, or other industry professional interested in a Midnight Cinder Ink song, we'd love to hear what caught your attention.
Serious industry contacts may also request access to the full catalog beyond what's featured here.
